Living Room Decoration?

Well, I want to decorate my living room. i rent an apartment and the walls are beige, the floor is light blue and i have two dark brown (suede) sofas and a dark wood with gl top coffee table. and the tv and tv stand. i have the blinds the same color as the walls but i want to change it. ok now my questions how should i decorate the living room since its boring looking. and ideas, what colors should i use and stuff like that.. NEED HELP ASAP...
